The EF50mm F1.8II is a lightweight, compact lens weighing only 130g at a reasonable price. 5-group, 6-elements Gaussian type, which is the standard for standard lenses, delivers sharp image quality throughout the entire focal length range from 0.45m to infinity. The lens is also cost-effective with excellent color balance suitable for a standard lens. This standard lens is ideal as an entry-level single focal length lens.
