Unieke albumhoes/poster voor het 10e album van de Beatles, met John Patrick Byrne als offset 'A doll's house' 60x75. Afmeting inclusief kader: 102x73. Printed in Finland.
Het originele schilderij werd verkocht voor 27.000 dollars.
In 1969 maakte John Byrne, nog steeds onder de naam Patrick, een schilderij v/d Beatles voor zijn show in December in de Portal gallery. Dit was een verwijzing naar en een reactie op het feit dat portal een illustere clientele aantrok, met enkele van de grootste namen in de britse showbusiness van die tijd die er  regelmatig te gast waren. Onder hen waren Julie christie, Michael Caine, David Niven, Divid Bailey, de Beatles (met name Ringo Starr, van wie wordt aangenomen dat hij de schilderijen van Patrick bezit) en Brian Epstein.
Het schilderij werd gekocht door art director en grafisch ontwerper Alan Aldridge, die het verlvolgens gebruikte als frontispice voor The Beatles illustrated lyrics, uitgegeven in 1969. Het werd 12 jaar later gebruikt als cover voor de lp The Beatles ballads. 
Geruchten suggereren dat het originele, grootschalig werk, verloren is gegaan bij EMI records. Dit werk is dus een zeldzaam, bewaard gebleven, vroege versie. Er is slechts één ander exemplaar bekend, in een privé collectie in Amerika. De afbeelding werd ook het onderwerp van een langdurige juridische strijd voor Byrne, toen hij ontdekte dat het zonder auteursrecht werd gereproduceerd op t-shirts en posters.
Op de afbeelding beeldt Byrne elke Beatle af zittend naast een soort 'spirit animal', waarvan hij geloofde dat het hun aard misschien het beste weerspiegelde. Yoko is te zien in de kristallen bol die Lennon vasthoudt.
