Biografie
Nanne Meyer (geb. 1953 in Hamburg) zählt zu den wichtigsten Vertreterinnen der zeitgenössischen Zeichnung in Deutschland. Sie studierte an der Hochschule der Künste in Berlin und war Mitbegründerin der Produzentengalerie „Bellevue“ in Kreuzberg. Ihr Werk kreist um Sprache, Kartografie und das Verhältnis von Linie, Raum und Wahrnehmung. Meyer verbindet in ihren Zeichnungen Fragmente von Schrift, Zahlen und topografischen Elementen zu poetischen Bildwelten, die zwischen Abstraktion und Erzählung changieren. Von 1994 bis 2016 lehrte sie als Professorin für Zeichnung an der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. Ihre Arbeiten sind in zahlreichen öffentlichen Sammlungen vertreten, u. a. im Kupferstichkabinett Berlin, im Museum of Modern Art New York und in der Pinakothek der Moderne München.
