Raffinato tavolino rotondo da salotto, realizzato artigianalmente in legno massello e decorato con intarsi in osso, secondo la tradizione artigianale indiana. Il piano, del diametro di 50 cm, presenta una ricca decorazione naturalistica con eleganti pavoni e piccoli uccelli circondati da motivi floreali, eseguiti con grande precisione e gusto estetico.

Le gambe, sagomate e intagliate a mano, riprendono motivi vegetali che arricchiscono ulteriormente la struttura. Questo tipo di lavorazione, tipico delle botteghe artigiane del Rajasthan e del Gujarat, unisce funzionalità e arte decorativa, rendendo il tavolo non solo un mobile d’uso ma anche un vero e proprio oggetto d’arte.

India, mid-20th century (circa 1950) – Traditional Indian style

Refined round wooden coffee table, handcrafted in solid wood and richly decorated with bone inlay, following the traditional Indian craft technique. The top, 50 cm in diameter, features an elaborate naturalistic decoration with elegant peacocks and small birds surrounded by floral motifs, executed with great precision and artistry.

The shaped legs are hand-carved with vegetal motifs, further enhancing the elegance of the piece. This type of craftsmanship, typical of Rajasthan and Gujarat workshops, combines functionality with decorative art, making the table not only a piece of furniture but also a true work of art.
