This single-line calligraphy reads “Rekireki ro-dōdō” (歴々露堂々), a Zen phrase that proclaims, “Truth stands plainly revealed—nothing is concealed.” Executed in Reverend Myodō’s bold and lucid hand, the work powerfully embodies the spirit of the saying and stands as a superb example of Zen brushwork.
