The EVH Striped Series 5150 guitar is a tribute to Eddie Van Halen’s iconic red, black, and white striped guitar from 1984, embodying his distinctive style, high-speed playability, and powerful tone.

Description

Design and Aesthetic: The guitar features the instantly recognizable Red with Black and White “5150” Striped Pattern. It is based on the look of Eddie Van Halen’s famous guitar from the 1984 era. The headstock is the unique EVH Hockey Stick shape, with matching stripes, the Kramer decal, and a star logo. It also features the quintessential red 5150 hologram numbers and star decals.
Tone: It’s designed for an aggressive, hot-rodded rock and metal tone, with a single humbucker setup delivering punchy lows, crisp highs, and powerful mids.
Playability: The neck profile is an EVH Modified “C” backshape, designed for fast and comfortable playing across the fretboard.

EVH Wolfgang Humbucker: A custom-designed pickup positioned at the bridge, delivering high output and clarity.
EVH-Branded Floyd Rose with D-Tuna: This double-locking tremolo system provides exceptional tuning stability even with extreme tremolo use (“dive bombs”). The patented D-Tuna system allows for instant, on-the-fly switching between standard tuning and Drop-D tuning for the low E-string.
Low-Friction Volume Knob: The custom-designed volume pot ensures smooth, seamless volume swells without clicks or pops.
Compound Radius Fingerboard: The radius is smaller (more rounded) at the nut for comfortable chording and gradually flattens towards the heel for easier, faster soloing and string bending.
