Masque Ndaaka /Ndaka
Ituri
Les peuples de la forêt tropicale d'Ituri, notamment les Mbuti et les Ndaka, utilisent des masques représentant les esprits des ancêtres lors de leurs cérémonies d'initiation des garçons. Ces masques très expressifs sont à la fois attrayants et agressifs. Ils arborent des motifs peints sur leur face, souvent comparables à ceux des bien connus tissus d'écorce peints des Mbuti. Un motif unique est généralement répété sur toute la surface. Ces inscriptions  parfois réalisées à l'aide de tampons, forment des messages ésotériques. 
Bien que les interprétations diffèrent, les points ou les mouchetures ,comme ici posés sur un fond écartelé d'argent et de sable, sont souvent associés à la peau d'un léopard et perçus comme des références au pouvoir. Ancienneté présumée :  deuxième moitié du XXe siècle.
Matériau : bois assez léger, raphia, pigments.
