A Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Teapot with Brass Handle

A fine Chinese export blue and white cylindrical teapot featuring an all-over, hand-painted floral scroll design with a prominent central flower motif on each side. The porcelain is fitted with a hinged brass swing handle and includes its original domed lid, which is also decorated in underglaze blue. 

Origin: China, Jingdezhen Kilns (Chinese Export Ware)
Period: Qing Dynasty, 19th Century

Height (without handle): 11 cm
Width (spout to body): 17 cm
Diameter (body): 12.5 cm

Condition Report:
In generally very good condition commensurate with age. There is one short hairline to the porcelain body, located just behind the brass handle attachment. There is also one minor glaze chip to the tip of the spout. The brass handle and fittings are stable. The footrim shows typical light firing discoloration.
