Particolare opera in ceramica o maiolica smaltata, data la finitura lucida e i colori vivaci. 
Lo stile è marcatamente espressivo, quasi caricaturale o grottesco, soprattutto nella resa del volto e della barba. L'uso del colore è audace e saturo, tipico di certe produzioni ceramiche del XX secolo, in particolare quelle che richiamano la tradizione della Commedia dell'Arte o il folklore popolare italiano, o ancora quelle influenzate da movimenti artistici che esaltano il colore e la forma in modo non convenzionale. La tecnica di smaltatura è ricca e lucida, con l'evidente applicazione manuale dei colori che dona un effetto materico e vibrante..
Si tratta di una figura folcloristica, un viandante, un contadino o un personaggio della Commedia dell'Arte (come un Arlecchino o un Pulcinella stilizzato), eseguita in una ceramica smaltata e riccamente colorata.
