Collector’s Vintage Japanese Kitchen Knives – 4 Nakiri (Vegetable Knives) – “Noshu Magoroku”, “Seki Magoroku Ginjyu”, “Sakai Ichiban Yoshitada”

A remarkable set of 4 traditional Japanese Nakiri knives (vegetable knives), each bearing the legacy of Japan’s most renowned cutlery regions — Noshu (Mino), Seki, and Sakai.

◇ 1st & 2nd knives (left): Signed “Noshu Magoroku Saku” (濃州孫六作) – fine examples from the historic Mino blacksmith tradition.
◇ 3rd knife: Signed “Seki Magoroku Ginjyu” (関孫六銀寿) – a high-grade stainless series inspired by the legendary Magoroku Kanemoto lineage of Seki.
◇ 4th knife (right): Partially worn mark, believed to be “Yoshitada” (芳忠), with the handle branded “Sakai Ichiban Yoshitada no Jitsuyō Bōchō” (堺一番芳忠の實用包丁), representing Sakai’s celebrated practical craftsmanship.

All knives feature traditional wooden handles and carbon-steel blades, maintaining the authentic aesthetic and balance of mid-20th-century Japanese kitchen tools.
Blades show minor age patina and light oxidation consistent with age, but overall remain in solid condition with beautiful steel sheen.

A perfect collectible lot that showcases Japan’s three great blade-making regions — a beautiful blend of history, craftsmanship, and everyday practicality.

Condition:
There are some signs of age such as rust, stains, and scratches.
Please note that there may also be small chips or imperfections on the blades that are not fully visible in the photos.
