Il marchio “KRAFT” (che in tedesco significa “forza”) e la struttura in metallo con molle lo fanno risalire probabilmente ai primi o metà del Novecento. Serviva per sviluppare la forza di presa e la resistenza dei muscoli delle mani e degli avambracci — molto usato da atleti, militari o semplicemente come attrezzo ginnico domestico.

Funziona comprimendo le due impugnature metalliche una verso l’altra, opponendosi alla resistenza delle molle centrali.
