BULLA PLUMBEA CLEMENS PP XIV 1769-1774 Papa Clemente Bolla Papale Piombo sigillo

Papa Clemente XIV, in latino Clemens Papa XIV, al secolo Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio (in religione Lorenzo) Ganganelli (Santarcangelo di Romagna, 31 ottobre 1705 – Roma, 22 settembre 1774), è stato il 249º vescovo di Roma (248º successore di Pietro) e papa della Chiesa cattolica dal 28 maggio 1769 alla morte.

Il termine “bolla” in primis, deriva dal latino “bulla” e si riferisce al sigillo, l’elemento cardine che veniva utilizzato per autenticare il documento. La bolla è quindi “una lettera ufficiale del papa che può riguardare argomenti sia spirituali che temporali. Essa viene spedita per vie diverse, compilata con determinate forme ed autentificata col sigillo pontificio nella cancelleria apostolica”.
