Deze objecten zijn antieke beursjes in mesh-uitvoering, typisch uit Nederland en België uit de periode ca. 1880-1920. Ze zijn gemaakt van fijn geweven zilverdraad (zogenoemd malie- of meshwerk) en werden vaak gedragen aan een chatelaine of als klein damesportemonneetje. Het mechanisme en decoratieve beugel wijzen op vakmanschap uit de Art Nouveau-periode; de voering aan de binnenzijde is meestal van zijde of satijn, wat duidt op luxere uitvoering.

Het zijn wat ontbrekend ringetje en gaatje maar verder prachtige patina achtergelaten.
