A nice mid 20th century full size italian violin for professional musician or collector, labeled "Gaetano Gadda di Mantova premiato con medaglla d'oro allievo di Stefano Scarampella fece in Mantova anno 1950". The strongly flamed one piece back measures 355 mm. Matched sides, neck and scroll. The total length of violin is 590 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 170 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. There are no cracks or repairs. There are new boxwood set up, new bridge and new strings. This tonally extremely interesting instrument is now ready to play, and i recommend it highly for its large, warm and rich sound full of typically Italian character.
