Magnifico termometro scientifico inglese di epoca vittoriana (metà/fine XIX secolo), firmato “Negretti & Zambra – London”, celebre ditta londinese produttrice di strumenti scientifici di precisione fondata nel 1850.

L’opera è realizzata come una colonna in marmo massiccio policromo, probabilmente breccia rossa e verde, con eleganti venature naturali e una lavorazione tornita di altissima qualità.
La scala termometrica originale è incisa su placca con indicazioni tipiche dell’epoca (“Freezing”, “Temperate”, “Summer Heat”, “Blood Heat”).

L’imponenza e la raffinatezza del marmo ne fanno un oggetto da collezione e d’arredo di grande fascino, ideale per studi, librerie o ambienti classici.
