You are bidding on a very fine and rare 4/4 violin, labeled Camillo Mandelli fidibus fide fidis Camillus Calcensis fecit Anno Domini 1918. The instrument is in good condition with some small old repaired cracks.
The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of interesting flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 586 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. Shipping worldwide!
