Model ship

I am selling a spectacular large-scale sailing ship model, depicting a seventeenth-century vessel from the Iberian region, probably inspired by a ship associated with the cult of Santiago de Compostela. On the mast is hoisted the flag with the image of the saint and the inscription 'S. Tiago de Compostela'.

The hull is entirely made of laminated wood, with sides painted in blue and white and adorned with rich gilded relief decorations, especially on the stern, where three levels of balcony galleries and allegorical figures are located. The rigging is complete, with numerous fabric sails mounted and yellowed by time, along with ropes, shrouds, and side chains. The model rests on a wooden base.

A very scenic object, ideal as a centerpiece in the living room, study, hotel hall, or restaurant with a maritime theme.
