[Description]
The EF65‑1000 Late Type is modeled after the 7th batch of units allocated to Tokyo Depot around 1978‑1982. This variant features no snowplow, fitted with PS22 lower-frame crossing-type pantographs, and is distinguished among EF65s for its design. It has been used for both passenger (including Blue Trains) and freight service, and remains popular among modelers.

This KATO 3061‑1 faithfully reproduces the Late Type features—detailed roof equipment, exact skirt shape, precisely modeled handrails, open‑link couplers, whistle, etc. It includes a headlight that lights up, and a flywheel‑equipped power unit for stable and smooth operation.
