Uranium of annagroen glass pendant lamp, rare model, Scailmont, Art Deco
This Art Deco lamp has a rather rare design and is ideal for a smaller space or hallway.

The wiring and the ceiling cover were renewed so that they could be hung immediately.

Outer surface of marbled glass and white opaline glass on the inside. There is uranium glass in it, causing it to glow under UV light.

Between 1870 and 1940, uranium – or annagreen glass – was produced on a fairly large scale. Since uranium glass is now rarely produced, it remains a popular collectible. Uranium was usually added in small quantities so that the green or yellow glass fluoresces when illuminated under ultraviolet light. It was mainly used in lamps, bowls, wine glasses, among others by the glass factories Leerdam, Scailmont, Doyen Glass, and Val Saint Lambert.
