Antique Victorian silverplate spirit kettle on its original stand, dating to 1900–1910, in good condition with small signs of ageing.
Description from the seller
Antique Victorian Silverplate Spirit Kettle on Stand – Beautifully Decorated – Unused Condition – Complete with Burner
A beautifully preserved Victorian silverplate spirit kettle on its original stand, richly decorated with repoussé floral ornament and elegant period detailing. The kettle features a sculpted spout, a hinged overhead handle with an insulating grip, and a finely ribbed lid finial. It stands on a decorative four-legged frame with ornate supports and claw-form feet, and comes with its original burner and wick holder.
The underside carries a series of manufacturer’s marks along with the model number 9602. These are maker’s identification markings typical of quality silverplate production of the period.
This example is in notably fresh condition and appears unused. The interior is clean and shows no signs of tea staining or previous use. Any light surface marks visible in the photographs are consistent with careful storage, handling and age rather than wear. The plating remains bright, the hinge and handle joints work well, and all components fit properly, including the complete burner.
The kettle is an impressive display piece, substantial in presence and finely made, representing a high standard of late 19th-century silverplate craftsmanship. It would make an excellent addition to a Victorian tea service, a decorative interior, or a collection of antique metalware.
Will be very carefully packaged and shipped with tracking.
