Description from the seller
Marshall amplifier built in the UK, model Studio Vintage SV20H, with Killer Kali++ modification made in the UK by Dan Gower (www.goweramps.co.uk), year of manufacture 2024, serial number M-2024-04-0526-1, new.
Description of the modification
front panel
GAIN 1 + 2
The amplifier has two gain controls, both always active in the circuit. Each of them
Check different parts of the circuit.
Gain 1 is positioned first in the preamp section (as an input gain), and Gain 2 is
slightly higher in the preamp section (like a typical preamp gain).
Both Gain controls have bright caps push/pull, which simply act as an EQ/filter circuit.
When the Gain controls are in the pull position (bright cap on), the lower you set the control, the more
The low frequencies in the gain are filtered out, and the gain sounds thinner.
Similarly, the higher the gain controls are set, the lesser the effect of the bright caps.
And they will feel lower frequencies in the gain.
When the gain controls are in the push position (bright cap off), the sound is darker, rounder, with less...
Gain, unless they are set after 3 o'clock.
When set to 10/max, there will be no difference in sound regardless of the gain controls.
I am in pull or push position.
Feel
The Feel control allows you to adjust the overall feel of the amplifier (vibrant or compressed).
Rear panel
Depth
The Depth control is similar to the Presence control but for low frequencies. This control
It adds that powerful and modern bass range coming from the amplifier's power section.
