Description from the seller
Exclusive preview on Catawiki: we are offering a new work by David Pasquinelli!
His work is a search for harmony within chaos through color, form, and texture. Primarily using acrylic paint and a palette knife, his style is deeply influenced by artists such as Nicolas de Staël, Mark Rothko, and Pierre Soulages.
The aim of his painting is to evoke the same emotions as those provided by music or poetry.
For him, the art of painting is similar to creating a melody in music, where a few simple but perfectly harmonized chords can evoke profound emotion. With this in mind, David strives to find the simplest and purest forms, seeking to capture the essence of emotion in his works.
His paintings are therefore a visual and emotional journey, inviting the viewer to feel rather than simply observe. This unique approach to painting makes this artist a distinctive figure, whose works invite the viewer on a visual journey where emotion and harmony are the sole objective.
This abstract work features a dynamic composition of asymmetrical geometric shapes, overlapping in a remarkable chromatic harmony. The earthy tones, ranging from rust to beige, evoke organic warmth and visual comfort. The bold use of clean lines creates an intriguing tension between filled and empty spaces, inviting the eye to explore the sinuous contours and their subtle interactions.
The contrast between dark and light shades enhances the depth and movement within the canvas. This clever juxtaposition of colors and shapes creates an immersive visual experience, capturing the very essence of modern and minimalist expression. The work, both sober and complex, perfectly illustrates the ability of abstraction to evoke deep emotions and reflections through apparent simplicity, fully engaging the viewer in a personal and introspective interpretation.
