Francisco Suárez (known as the Doctor eximius), born on January 5, 1548, in Granada (Spain), and died on September 25, 1617, in Lisbon, was a Spanish Jesuit philosopher and theologian, generally regarded as one of the greatest scholastics after Thomas Aquinas. He was part of the famous School of Salamanca.
