Description from the seller
HIGHLIGHTS
The ultimate design of an Italian car, Alfa Romeo at its best! With the authentic sound of the GTV engine.
Furthermore, the car sits perfectly on the road thanks to the even weight distribution (engine in the front, manual transmission in the back). Every cornering, every Alpine pass is a pure pleasure. And the car, even after being in the garage all winter: connect the battery, pull the choke, start it, and off you go! Never had a problem. A dream.
Year of manufacture 1984
6 previous owners as per the registration document are traceable.
Outside
Nice paint, some small rust spots. The seals on the windows are not in perfect condition. But it is 100% waterproof.
The tank has a small rust spot. No problem when driving. When left standing for a long time: half-full is fine, but when full, it leaks slightly.
INNERN
Upholstery and covers are nice and appetizing. Leather is slightly damaged here or there. Anyone with basic handyman skills can easily fix it. (Wear from age, heat...)
The ceiling at the back is loose, and it can also be easily reattached.
Have the rear seat belts installed.
Mechanic
Perfect. The shifting process is the same as with all GTVs: engage first gear slowly; otherwise, the transmission will grind.
Drives flawlessly, was happy without any wishes all those years. No problems with the mechanics, occasionally topping up vintage car oil (AGIP Novecento).
papers
Type approval certificate and registration certificate available.
This Alfetta GTV has always been garaged and inspected and repaired at Alfa Oldtimer Werkstätten (Alfa Ambros, Pabneukirchen, Upper Austria). It has a regular registration, not a classic car registration.
The motor and mechanics are in working condition; the inspection sticker was recently renewed (25.6.2025).
The body shows signs of age, but without dents; minimal rust spots are visible.
To avoid disappointments later on, it is recommended to view the vehicle in Vienna, Austria, before placing a bid. Please contact Catawiki to schedule an appointment.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
