Designer Michaël Lax for Copco (Nacco), Denmark, mid‑century cast iron pan with dark brown enamel finish; Ø17 cm, height 10.5 cm, weight 2.4 kg, produced circa 1950–1975, in excellent condition with minimal signs of use.

Dark brown enameled cast iron pan/cooking pot by designer Michaël Lax for Copco (also known as Nacco) - Denmark. Mid-century design in a beautiful condition.
Minor traces of use on the inside of the lid and bottom, otherwise in excellent condition with no damages or discoloration to the enamel layer, both inside and outside.
Size D1, diameter at the top 17 cm - measured without the handles. - height 10.5 cm.
Weight: 2.4 kg.
N.B. The color is difficult to photograph but is a deep dark brown.
Both Copco and Nacco pots and pans were produced by Morsø Jernstøberi (Morsø Cast Iron Foundry) in Denmark. Nacco is an abbreviation for 'N. A. Christensen & Co.' The company was founded in 1853, primarily producing cast iron wood stoves. In the 1950s, the foundry also developed a range of pots and pans and hired renowned designers such as Michaël Lax (USA). These cookware items were a great success in the USA and are considered a design icon of the 1960s.
