The scenes are encompassed by golden clouds with double dotted low relief lines along the edges. Executed in colour and ink on golden silk mounted on a paper ground. The painting is bordered by two brocade silk trims: a slender brown inner band and a broad green outer band. The screen is framed in black lacquered wood fitted with protective metal hardware. Period: Japan – Shôwa period (1926–1989) Dimensions: Total width 376 cm (2 × 64 cm, 4 × 62 cm); Height 172.3 cm In very good condition with minimal traces of wear consistent with age on both sides.
