Figura decorativa en forma de ardilla – Porta-palillos / palillero – Plata maciza – España, ca. 1940-1950

Encantadora figura artesanal realizada íntegramente en plata maciza, representando una ardilla de cuerpo esculpido con gran realismo, apoyada sobre una base ovalada también de plata. La pieza sostiene un pequeño tronco hueco con relieves de hojas y frutos, diseñado para servir como porta-palillos (palillero de mesa), aunque también puede emplearse como objeto decorativo o porta-utensilios de escritorio.

El modelado es de una finura destacable: la textura del pelaje, la expresión viva del rostro y la postura natural del animal revelan el trabajo minucioso de un maestro platero español de mediados del siglo XX. El punzón con estrella y cabeza confirma su fabricación en España, y la plata ha sido verificada por contraste.

Obra datada entre 1940 y 1950, periodo en el que la orfebrería española se caracterizó por la recuperación de temas naturalistas y decorativos con gran sentido escultórico.

Fondo: 4 cm
Peso: pieza maciza de plata (medido en mano, excelente densidad).

Estado:buena conservación, con pátina leve propia del tiempo y sin restauraciones.

Pieza de gran encanto artístico y valor coleccionista, tanto por su calidad escultórica como por su función práctica en la mesa. Un ejemplo representativo de la platería española de mediados del siglo XX.
