A refined Bizen ware sake bottle (tokkuri) by Masayasu Wani (和仁正興), a contemporary Japanese ceramic artist known for powerful kiln-change (yōhen) effects and traditional anagama firing techniques.
This piece features a dramatic natural kiln transformation, with deep scorched tones, rich earthy textures, and subtle natural ash effects that can only be achieved through long, high-temperature wood firing.
The balanced form and expressive surface give this work both strong artistic presence and refined elegance.
It is suitable not only as a functional sake vessel, but also as a sculptural ceramic artwork for refined interior display and serious collectors of Japanese ceramics.
The piece comes with its original signed wooden box (tomobako) and original information card, ensuring authenticity and provenance.
