Description from the seller
Antique oak roller shutter cabinet – circa 1880–1920 – with 3 original keys, hand-carved details, and a warm patina.
Charming and elegant antique Dutch roll-up desk in solid oak, with beautiful carving along the legs and roll-up, and original brass lock plates. The desk has been professionally cleaned and maintained with a suitable wood care product (not beeswax), allowing the wood to showcase its vibrant, warm color and natural patina beautifully.
The roller shutter operates smoothly and closes well. Inside, there is the original interior block with small drawers and a central cabinet — half-loosely placed as is typical with high-quality bureaus from this period. The drawer construction features handcrafted dovetail joints — a clear sign of craftsmanship.
