AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

General
Wow, what a beauty this fantastic Volkswagen T1 Samba bus from 1973 is. Equipped with a completely new luxury Camper interior. Rare color scheme, Samba with 23 windows, pop-out windows, and slide roof.

Bodywork
This original VW T1 comes from Brazil and was converted there a few years ago from a standard van into a beautiful camper with a luxurious new interior. It is not an original Samba but a stunning replica with all the details, such as the 23 windows, sliding roof, and safari pop-out windows at the front. The two-tone combination of 'orange-red with a black roof' looks very attractive and references the old Volkswagen T1 vans from the 1950s.

Technical
This T1 features the well-known air-cooled 1500 cc engine with 4 cylinders. The engine has been rebuilt, inspected, and painted in color. The engine runs well, and the transmission shifts as it should.

INTERIOR:
Inside, a luxury new camper interior has been installed. Everything you desire for a ride with a T1 bus, and even a night to sleep in, is present. A new fridge, foldable table, dining table in the bus itself, smart storage compartments under the benches, and of course the seats. Using the well-known 'rock 'n roll' system, the backrest can be laid flat, creating a bed. The chairs and benches are upholstered in black, matching the bus. The door panels and even new curtains are created in a matching style. Even the rims are built in color with white-walls, naturally with chrome hubcaps.

The list is certainly not complete, but in recent years the following activities have been carried out:

new camper interior
Base sprayed with black coating.
Bumpers in black gloss lacquer with red details painted.
New seats and belts installed, for the driver, passenger, and bench.
Car body newly painted in black with orange-red color.
Double chrome with wood imperials and side step installed.
Curtains in black with red details installed.
White walls met chrome wheel caps.
Matching black mirrors placed.
New chrome VW logo at the front
New black refrigerator installed.
New black steering wheel installed.
Engine removed and painted.

Documents
This van has been imported from Brazil and still bears the Brazilian license plate. All import duties have been paid, and customs documents will of course be provided. The van is sold 'as is'.

Other
This concerns a Brazilian restoration from a few years ago; the numerous photos provide a good impression of its condition. Before the van is 'road ready,' some adjustments will need to be made to meet all European requirements. We therefore advise to budget an additional 10% for costs such as checking brakes and bearings, electrical work, installing European headlights, etc. This is a private sale, so no warranty applies. The van must be collected within 14 days after the auction.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
