Original Yugoslav cinema poster for Jaws 2 (1978), designed by Lou Feck, featuring the shark and water-skier artwork, 70 × 50 cm, in B+ condition.
Description from the seller
This is an original Yugoslav cinema poster for Jaws 2 (1978), released locally under the title “Ralje 2.” Distributed by Croatia Film, this poster features the iconic artwork of the shark lunging upward behind a water-skier — one of the most recognisable images in the history of thriller and creature-feature cinema.
Artwork & Design
The poster retains the classic Jaws 2 artwork originally painted by Lou Feck for the international campaign.
The Yugoslav layout presents:
the large red title RALJE 2
the dramatic central illustration of the shark and skier
clean credit block with Roy Scheider, Lorraine Gary, Murray Hamilton
local production markings and translation
The design is bold, striking and instantly recognisable, making it an excellent display piece for collectors of Spielberg-era cinema and shark-themed posters.
Authenticity
This is a genuine theatrical issue from the late 1970s, not a modern reproduction.
Authentic features include:
original Yugoslav printing credit (Croatia Film)
language-specific titles and cast text in Croatian
period-correct offset printing
typical fold lines from original distribution
Condition
Very Good to Excellent (folds as issued).
Vivid colours, no major fading
Paper clean and well-preserved
Light fold wear, consistent with theatrical use
No major tears, no writing, no significant paper loss
The poster is over 45 years old and survives in remarkably strong condition.
Collectability
Jaws posters — even international variants — remain consistently in demand.
The Yugoslav edition is not common, especially in clean condition, and represents an appealing alternative to more expensive U.S. one-sheets.
Collectors of Spielberg-inspired films, shark cinema, and vintage Yugoslav posters will find this a desirable addition.
Shipping
Will be shipped carefully folded, secured between rigid cardboard sheets, and sent with tracking.
