This is not a Fagerhults Lucifer, but the much rarer Fagerhults Mascot, designed by A&E Design (Tom Ahlström & Hans Ehrich) for Fagerhults, Sweden.
There has been direct contact with Fagerhults, who confirmed that this lamp was manufactured in 1983. This dating, together with the original serial / type plate still present, makes this piece exceptionally well documented and highly attractive to collectors of Scandinavian industrial design.
Rarity & market position
While the Fagerhults Lucifer has appeared more than 35 times on online auction and sales platforms in recent years, the Mascot is extremely rarely offered. Based on available online records, it has surfaced only once, more than 10 years ago.
The Mascot was originally developed as a professional task and drafting lamp for offices and industrial environments. Due to its size, purpose and limited distribution, it is significantly rarer than the Lucifer model.
