Vaas - Brons - Japan - Meiji periode (1868-1912)

It is a vase with the stamp of ``Daiming Xuande 大明宣徳''. The decoration features the traditional Taotie motif, an ancient Chinese design commonly seen on ritual bronzes. The Taotie represents a mythical creature associated with power, protection, and the warding off of evil. Its distinctive symmetrical face-like pattern symbolizes strength and spiritual authority, making it both decorative and meaningful. Although there is some discoloration overall, the intricate details are still clearly visible. Considering it's a vase approximately 100-150 years old, its condition is not bad. "Made during the Xuande era of the Great Ming Dynasty" refers to an inscription carved on a bronze vessel made by order of Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty (1426-1435), specifically in 1428. Height 20.9 cm Width 24.3 cm Depth 24.3 cm Top 8.8 cm Bottom 9.0 cm Weight 1420 g Condition: Overall, there is discoloration due to rust. There is also wear, stains, scratches, scuffs, and dirt due to age-related deterioration. Please see the numerous photos for details. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation.
