SIGNED; Vanessa Winship - Sweet Nothing (MINT CONDITION, SHRINK-WRAPPED) - 2008

VERY SMART AND WIDELY UNKNOWN photobook by celebrated photographer Vanessa Winship. Signed by the artist. I GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE SIGNATURE. New, mint, unread; only opened once for the signature. COLLECTOR'S COPY. Welcome to the next edition of the VERY POPULAR SINGLE-SELLER-AUCTIONS by 5Uhr30.com (Ecki Heuser, Cologne, Germany). This time with a BEST-OF-SELECTION from 1926 to 2026, so of the last 100 (!) years of photobook history. "Photographer Vanessa Winship lived and worked in the area of Eastern Turkey for almost a decade an explosive region containing the borderlands of Iraq, Iran and Armenia. Struck by enduring images of rural schoolgirls wearing little blue dresses and their delicate status within politically loaded discussions over borders and identity, Winship systematically documented her encounter with them. The result is a fascinating collection of images, each of which tells a simple story while also documenting these girls in their fragility, grace and without any form of posturing." (from the publisher) 5Uhr30.com guarantees detailed and accurate descriptions, 100% protection, 100% insurance and combined shipping worldwide. Images En Manœuvres Éditions, Marseille. 2008. First edition, first printing. Hardcover in linen with dustjacket. 180 x 220 mm. 108 pages. Photos: Vanessa Winship. Graphic concept and realisation: Gilles Camilleri. Printing: Delta Color, Nimes. Text: Max Houghton, Vaessa Winship. Text in French and English. Great photobook by Vanessa Winship - in perfect condition. Vanessa Winship (born 1960) is a British photographer who works on long term projects of portrait, landscape, reportage and documentary photography. These personal projects have predominantly been in Eastern Europe but also the USA. Winship's books include Schwarzes Meer (2007), Sweet Nothings (2008) and She Dances on Jackson (2013). Her first retrospective exhibition was at Fundación Mapfre Gallery in Madrid in 2014. Her first major UK solo exhibition is at Barbican Art Gallery, London, in 2018. Her work has also been exhibited twice in the National Portrait Gallery in London and prominently at Rencontres d'Arles in France. Winship has won two World Press Photo Awards, "Photographer of the Year" at the Sony World Photography Awards, the HCB Award (the first woman to do so) and in 2018 an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society. Vanessa Winship is a member of Agence Vu photography agency.
