Founded in the 1850s, Schatz was for years the leading manufacturer of classic ship’s clocks. They continued to make mechanical chiming movements, before finally closed in 1985. Outstanding ships clock marine clock. Designed by August Schatz & Sohne "Jahresuhrenfabrik" This clock is produced under license in Denmark by the firm Delite with original components from schatz. The front glass window is all intact without scratches, and can easily be opnened. The brass housing has little wear and tear. The clocks mounting on the lid may need some new screws to ensure full fixation but it has no impact on the operation and functionalty of the clock. Adjusted and tested and works.
