Renaissance Breastplate & Backplate – Italian Style, circa 1580 – Decoration / Reenactment - Replica A beautiful and well-crafted Renaissance-style cuirass (breastplate and backplate) in the Italian manner, dated to approximately 1580. The armour consists of a front and back plate that fasten together, crafted in polished steel with brass dome rivets and a braided/roped steel trim along the neck opening and edges. The interior is lined with black fabric. A period-style hook-and-loop clasp fastening is present on the front plate. A maker's stamp (shield with letter) is visible on the backplate. In good used condition — suitable for display, decoration, or historical reenactment.
