Impressive large-format floor vase produced by Carstens Tönnieshof, one of the most renowned manufacturers of West German art pottery.
This striking model features a sculptural form with a distinctive double-loop handle and a richly textured surface decorated with bold red floral motifs in relief. The deep dark glaze contrasts beautifully with the vibrant red decoration, creating a dramatic visual effect characteristic of the iconic Fat Lava movement of the late 1960s and 1970s.
An authentic collector’s piece of West German pottery, combining expressive design, excellent craftsmanship and strong decorative appeal.
The vase retains its original Carstens Tönnieshof paper label and is marked on the base: 7814-45 W-Germany.
