Beschrijving van de verkoper
Beautiful Vintage Emmepi "Radiolina" Tube Radio – Cream/Ivory – Milan Italy, ca. 1955 – Fully Restored & Working!
An absolute design icon from 1950s Italy. This charming midget radio (locally known as a radiolina) was manufactured by the boutique brand Emmepi in Milan. With its flowing, streamlined curves and stunning ivory-white/cream cabinet, it represents a textbook example of highly coveted Mid-Century Modern Italian design.
This particular unit is exceptional because it underwent a full and professional restoration a few years ago. While most radios of this age require extensive overhaul to operate safely, this piece is plug-and-play. The tubes (including an original Philips Miniwatt UY85) are in excellent condition. The potentiometer has recently been treated with contact cleaner and operates smoothly. The voltage carousel at the back is correctly set to 220V, allowing the radio to safely run on modern European power grids.
The radio is in very beautiful, original condition, showing only minimal signs of wear consistent with an object that is roughly 70 years old. The lettering on the atmospheric, illuminated tuning dial (featuring nostalgic station names like Hilversum, Paris, Vaticano, and Roma) remains perfectly legible. The rear panel is entirely original and retains its authentic Italian instructional texts.
A gorgeous, fully working collector's item that will delight both vintage radio enthusiasts and lovers of mid-century design.
Will be packaged with extreme care, shockproof, and double-boxed for secure worldwide shipping.
