Beschrijving van de verkoper
Riva Aquarama Special Model Boat - Near mint. Spectacular model; handmade with display/support.
The most famous of Carlo Riva's designs was the Aquarama. The undisputed flagship of the series is regarded as a nautical legend, a superlative in beauty, craftsmanship, and performance that has rarely been surpassed. The name is derived from the widescreen Cinerama film format, popular in the early 1960s, which was intended to be associated with the boat's windshield. The Aquarama was a direct descendant of the Tritone, on whose hull it was based. First built in 1962, it was equipped with a sunbed in the lowered sundeck, as introduced with the Tritone Aperto. Distinguishing features included separate forward seats and a central, non-slip gangway designed to ensure easier access to the water at the rear. Like the Tritone, the Aquarama was a twin-engine boat with power ranging from 185 hp each to 350 hp each in the Aquarama Special. A total of 769 boats were built until the end of production in 1996.
