A rare piece of technological and musical history is up for sale: the Texas Instruments Language Tutor, manufactured in the USA in 1980.

This model is legendary in pop culture and electronic music history. It is the exact device that the German band Kraftwerk used extensively on their legendary album Computer World (1981) to generate the famous robotic voices (speech synthesis samples such as “Business, Numbers, Money, People”).

REAL CONDITION AND FUNCTIONALITY:

100% Functional: The device starts up instantly, the alphanumeric fluorescent tube (VFD) display is very bright, perfectly legible and has no burned or faded segments.

Impeccable sound: The integrated speaker works perfectly and clearly reproduces the original Solid State Speech voice synthesis. All audio circuits are intact.

Power supply: Works perfectly with 4 AA batteries (the battery compartment is clean, no traces of oxidation). Note: The package does not include the power adapter.

Aesthetic condition: Very good for its age (46 years), no cracks in the plastic and with the aluminum strips very well preserved.
