Grote decoratieve uitzetkist / bruidskist met florale boerenmalerei – Gesigneerd & Gedateerd 1938 (incl. sleutel)

Voor de veiling staat een prachtige, ruim bemeten uitzetkist (bruidskist) in de traditionele alpenlandse volkskunststijl van de Bauernmalerei. De kist is een uitstekend, authentiek voorbeeld van de Heimatstil uit de tussenoorlogse periode.

Datering & herkomst: Op de voorzijde discreet gesigneerd en gedateerd met „Ella Joud 1938“.

Schildering:

Uitgebreide, kleurrijke handbeschildering met klassieke bloemmotieven (tulpen en rozen) in geprofileerde panelen op olijfgroene ondergrond. Het deksel en de zijkanten zijn eveneens fraai versierd. Een omlopende, rood-bruin gekleurd koordprofiel siert de bovenkant. De achterkant heeft een egale donkere afwerking.

Slot & functionaliteit: Het originele, zwart gelakte gesmede kistslot is aanwezig en gaat vergezeld van de bijbehorende sleutel. Het sluitmechanisme werkt prima: de kist kan zonder problemen afsluiten en weer openen, en de sleutel kan in zowel de gesloten als de geopende toestand gemakkelijk verwijderd worden.

Het interieur is opmerkelijk schoon, ruim en toont de natuurlijke houtnerven (zonder lade).

De kist verkeert in een charmante, leeftijdsgebonden originele staat met een prachtige patina. Er zijn sporadische, ouderdomsgerelateerde afbladderingen in de schildering en kleine oppervlakkige scheurtjes in het hout, die het authentieke karakter benadrukken. Structureel en functioneel is de kist absoluut solide, schoon en direct inzetbaar.

Large Decorative Bridal Chest / Dowry Trunk with Floral Folk Art Painting – Signed & Dated 1938 (incl. Key)

For sale is a beautiful and generously sized dowry chest (bridal trunk) in the traditional Alpine folk art style ("Bauernmalerei"). This trunk is an excellent, authentic example of the regional "Heimatstil" from the interwar period.

Dating & Provenance: Discreetly signed and dated on the front: "Ella Joud 1938".

Painting: Elaborate, colorful hand-painted decoration featuring classic floral motifs (tulips and roses) within recessed panels on an olive-green background. The lid and side panels are beautifully decorated to match. A carved cord-like trim in reddish-brown adorns the upper rim. The back side is finished in a solid dark color.

Lock & Functionality: Features its original black-lacquered forged iron rim lock and comes with the matching key. The locking mechanism works perfectly: the trunk can be locked and unlocked without any issues, and the key can be smoothly removed in both the locked and unlocked positions.

Interior: The interior is remarkably clean, spacious, and displays the natural wood grain, without an internal side compartment.
