The Nordmende RE 1200 is a powerful vintage stereo receiver from Nordmende's Philharmonic Hi-Fi series, dating from approximately 1978–1981. Manufactured in Japan, this substantial receiver combines a capable stereo amplifier with an integrated FM/MW/LW tuner in a classic, beautifully finished vintage chassis.

With around 2 × 55 watts into 4 ohms, the RE 1200 has enough power to drive a wide range of vintage loudspeakers. Its amplifier section offers a wide 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, a damping factor of 60 and a low specified total harmonic distortion of approximately 0.02%.

To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding.
