An antique Villeroy & Boch washbasin (wash bowl) from the "Erft" line. This model is characterized by the distinctive Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style of the early 20th century. It features a distinctive red sprayed decoration (*roter Sprühdekor*) and a gold rim along the wavy edge. XXXL size The image shows a historical mark used by Villeroy & Boch for products from their factory in Mettlach, Germany. In collector circles, this specific mark is known as the "Mercury mark."
