Al vijf generaties lang is Maison Camus uitgegroeid tot een van de beste ambassadeurs van Cognac, deze uitzonderlijke Franse sterke drank.
Vanuit dit oogpunt vertegenwoordigt deze fles een blad uit de geschiedenis, aangezien hij dateert uit… 1963!
De naam van deze cuvée: Célébration, omdat ze is ontworpen om het honderdjarige bestaan van het merk te vieren, opgericht in 1863.
Op het etiket zien we dat er sprake is van « La Grande Marque »: het is inderdaad onder deze benaming dat Jean-Baptiste Camus aanvankelijk zijn eerste producties op de markt bracht, met de steun van het consortium wijnboeren dat hij rondom dit project heeft weten bijeen te brengen.
Het gaat dus met het grootste respect om deze fles te hanteren, het ultieme overblijfsel van een tijdperk dat vandaag de dag voorbij is. Het heeft de tand des tijds doorstaan om tot ons te komen, terwijl het duizend risico's en gevaren trotseerde!
