Trio of Ancient Roman Terracotta Oil Lamps Circa 1st-3rd century AD A group of three terracotta oil lamps comprising: a mould-made lamp with elongated body and rounded shoulder, the discus framed by a simple rim and surmounted at the rear by a moulded lug handle with a female bust with coiffed hair; a compact circular lamp with slightly recessed upper surface and small central filling hole, the body narrowing to a tiny pointed nozzle; and a third lamp with rounded body and circular discus ringed by a broad shoulder, the upper surface decorated in relief with concentric bands of radiating tongues and roundels, the front drawn out into a protruding nozzle.
