Kerstgroep – hout – Afrika – 20ste eeuw

Zeer fraaie Afrikaanse kerstgroep, volledig met de hand gesneden. De figuren zijn rijk aan karaktervolle details, duidelijk het werk van een ervaren houtsnijder. De groep omvat Maria en Jozef bij de kribbe, herders met dieren en drie koningen. Het Jezus-figuurtje werd later vervangen door een abstract houten vorm.

Opvallend is de grote, met de hand vervaardigde stal van bananenblad en sisalvezel, die samen met het houtsnijwerk een unieke en authentieke set vormt.

Hoogte figuren circa 18 cm, in goede staat met normale gebruikssporen. Merk op dat Maria's arm gelijmd is.
