Description from the seller

- MEETING -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY

The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 106x125 cm (entire canvas)

Artwork Overview:

Four figures stand side by side like witnesses to the same moment, each carrying a different version of awareness. Their faces don’t converse — they register. One looks outward with raw alertness, another inward with quiet calculation, another through distortion, another through ritualized calm. Together they form a silent council, not unified by agreement but by proximity. This feels less like a gathering of people and more like a convergence of states of mind.

There’s tension without conflict here. No one dominates, no one retreats. Each presence holds its own frequency, its own internal logic, as if identity itself has been fragmented and laid out for comparison. The background absorbs their energy like earth after rain — dense, worn, bearing traces of previous encounters. What initially reads as playful slowly reveals something ceremonial: a reckoning, a pause before decision, a moment where different versions of the self are forced to acknowledge one another.

In a space, this work creates gravity. It doesn’t ask for attention; it organizes it. Viewers feel drawn into the lineup, instinctively choosing where they belong — which face reflects their current state, which one they’re resisting. Collectors are drawn to works like this because they function as psychological maps rather than images. Rooted in contemporary neo-expressionist and art brut sensibility, this is a collector-grade piece defined by symbolic clarity, emotional plurality, and a rare ability to hold complexity without noise.

A powerful statement piece that radiates mystery, authority, and the unmistakable energy of contemporary neo-expressionism.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.

Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.

ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.

He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.

Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
