Up for auction is a nice antique 4/4 violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, nella Contrada di Santa Margarita, al Segno della Sirena, Milano 1777. The instrument remains in good condition with some old repaired cracks on the top. Good rosewood set up and new strings. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance. The scroll is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The original varnish of brown color over lighter ground remains in good condition with some tears and wears. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 359 mm. The total length of the violin is 591 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 162 mm; middle bouts: 109 mm; lower bouts: 203 mm. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. Shipping worldwide insured!
