You are bidding on a fully authorized 1989 reçussiez litigraph on luxury vélin paper of the iconic and beautiful vintage Art Deco poster titled "La Route Bleue" by the graphic designer A.M. Cassandre. 
Created in 1929, it promotes a luxury coach service (autocars de luxe) that ran between London, Paris, and the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur). 
The design is an iconic example of Art Deco, using striking geometric forms, a limited color palette (midnight blues, blacks, and whites), and a strong sense of perspective to convey speed and modernity. 
The stylized trees and road vanishing into the distance create an illusion of sitting inside a fast-moving vehicle, with the spaces between the shapes implying bus windows. 
The service was a joint initiative operated by several railway companies, including Chemins de Fer du Nord, PLM, and the Compagnie des Wagons-Lits.
