Description from the seller

Old and beautiful gold chain for pocket watches, dateable between 1880 and 1900. It lacks hallmarks; in antiquity, not all gold products were stamped, as many were made by small artisans who did not have hallmarks. The chain is in excellent condition, with obviously some signs of wear consistent with its age. It has likely undergone minor repairs along the way. Visually, it appears very beautiful; it has been cleaned and polished. The total length, including the clasp and ring, is 39 cm, and it weighs 10.60 grams. The ring fits well through belt loops, and it can also be worn on a vest. The opening spring closes very securely and has good closing power; the spring of the clasp also functions efficiently. There is only one hallmark on a ring; due to the lack of hallmarks, a minimum reserve price has been set. In one photo, the old purchase invoice is visible, in which the antique goldsmith certifies it as gold, purchased for 320,000 Italian lire in 2001. 750 gold.
